Rubber grommet

Rubber grommet also called rubber ring is an essential piece for a rubber grommet bongs or in other words - bongs with a non pull stem fixed with a rubber grommet. It is the small black ring made of rubber and its function is to keep the stem in the place. Rubber grommets basically tighten the stem to the bong and stops the air to get out.

Spare rubber grommet

The stem is not being pulled out while smoking but you use only a carb hole. It is possible to remove the rubber ring for cleaning though. The bong itself comes with one rubber grommet but its great to get some spare ones just in case the original rubber grommet becomes a little worn. It is recommended to lubricate a bit the new rubber ring so it will fit easily in the bong.

Replacing a rubber grommet

We do not recommend to replace the rubber grommet with a tape or blue tack or anything else. Not only it will look odd but it will probably not work properly. Spare rubber grommets are not expensive and you can buy them there right here.
